When Hortêncio Messias came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Sosoco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Messias couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Rubinho Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Mattos in the 10th minute of play forced Andresa's goalkeeper Afonsinho Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Enio Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Afonsinho Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andresa's goalie prevented a goal. The Sosoco FC fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Afonsinho Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Messias in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Andresa defense, Lúcio Mattos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Favoretto. The Andresa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Favoretto should have stopped the shot. After 27 minutes of play, Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonsinho Favoretto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afonsinho Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Messias in the 30th minute of play. Hortêncio Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Lúcio Mattos notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Andresa's Afonsinho Favoretto. Afonsinho Favoretto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Azevedo in the 35th minute of play forced Andresa's goalkeeper Afonsinho Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Enio Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonsinho Favoretto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. 40 minutes into the game, Enio Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Afonsinho Favoretto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rdth minute of the game Delfim Ceresso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andresa's Afonsinho Favoretto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afonsinho Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enio Azevedo made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Andresa's zone, Enio Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonsinho Favoretto came out of the goal and Enio Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Mattos in the 54th minute of play forced Andresa's goalkeeper Afonsinho Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th play minute Delfim Ceresso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Afonsinho Favoretto. 0-9. 59 minutes into the game, Sosoco FC's Oscar Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonsinho Favoretto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. In the 65th minute, Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Afonsinho Favoretto. Afonsinho Favoretto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. 70 minutes into the match, Andresa's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Mattos came free, but Afonsinho Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonsinho Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonsinho Favoretto was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Hortêncio Messias capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hortêncio Messias really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. Delfim Ceresso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonsinho Favoretto having to make a save. Hortêncio Messias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Favoretto made a huge save. 79 minutes into the game, Delfim Ceresso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Afonsinho Favoretto. Delfim Ceresso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. Afonsinho Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Geovanni Soeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sosoco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-14. 88 minutes into the game, Lúcio Mattos lined in a short shot 0-15 behind a frustrated Afonsinho Favoretto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Castro in the 93rd minute of play forced Andresa's goalkeeper Afonsinho Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Lúcio Mattos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonsinho Favoretto. The goal made the score 0-16. Sosoco FC played a much better game than Andresa and deserved their victory. The Andresa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
