INDIGO's Márcio Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cássio Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Maciel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fabiano Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Romelio in the 16th minute of the match. Jacobo Romelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. João Augusto de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonçalo Pereira hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Jacobo Romelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Luís Fabiano Fantini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Apeel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Cássio Capixaba's late challenge caught a INDIGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Capixaba helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Cássio Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored Apeel's protests and gave Durval Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Durval Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Sílvio Luís Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apeel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. INDIGO's Nelson Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save INDIGO from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacobo Romelio to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in INDIGO's zone, Durval Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Maciel came out of the goal and Durval Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nelson Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Fantini in the 52nd minute of the match. The supporters of Apeel booed when INDIGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Luís Fabiano Fantini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Maciel. INDIGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fabiano Fantini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durval Valadares in the 58th minute of play forced INDIGO's goalkeeper Nelson Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Capixaba scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelson Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cássio Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apeel's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Maciel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Apeel getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Cássio Capixaba hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Jacobo Romelio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDIGO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Romelio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Luís Coelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sílvio Luís Coelho ran back to his position shaking his head. Nelson Maciel came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Apeel's Luís Fabiano Fantini. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 84 minutes, Jacobo Romelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDIGO and the Apeel players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th minute, Jacobo Romelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelson Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Capixaba in the 86th minute of the match. Apeel's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
