The crowd rose to their feet as Sosoco FC's Enio Azevedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Augusto de Souza. That made the score 6-0 after 38 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Sosoco FC's João Augusto de Souza threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Enio Azevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enio Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Enio Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Augusto de Souza was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Enio Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enio Azevedo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto de Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Augusto de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto de Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Enio Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sosoco FC had played much better football throughout.
