In the 26th minute Gildo Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tomás Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmo Bittencourt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 38 minutes, Dalmo Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Blumenauense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Dalmo Bittencourt came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Atlético Blumenauense FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmo Bittencourt to make the kick off. Valdemar Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeferino Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Roberto Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Rossi having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Ribeiro in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Rossi saved Juventus - FSCMZ from getting behind. Dalmo Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Rossi having to interfere. Cícero Reis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeferino Leite. Atlético Blumenauense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Juventus - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Juventus - FSCMZ's Tomás Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Roberto Vidal in the 84th minute of play. If Dalmo Bittencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute.
