In the 5th minute, one of Locomotiva Futebol Show:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Locomotiva Futebol Show. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Atlético Blumenauense FC. Erivaldo Santos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Doriva Vander. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Zé Roberto Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Blumenauense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Vander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Blumenauense FC's zone, Sílvio Luís Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeferino Leite came out of the goal and Sílvio Luís Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Blumenauense FC's Jaime Alves got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 21st match minute, Locomotiva Futebol Show was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Castro to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Blumenauense FC's Zé Roberto Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doriva Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Alves in the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Dalmo Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmo Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Zé Roberto Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalmo Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Vander having to interfere. Flávio Leão hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Atlético Blumenauense FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Claudinei Vinhas made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Zé Roberto Vidal took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Doriva Vander to make any attempt to save it. In the 62nd minute, Dalmo Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Vander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Doriva Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Roberto Vidal in the 67th minute of the match. Dalmo Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudinei Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Vander having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Zé Roberto Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Zé Roberto Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Blumenauense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Roberto Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Roberto Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Vander having to interfere. The supporters of Locomotiva Futebol Show booed when Atlético Blumenauense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Godfredo Cordarrel's late challenge caught a Locomotiva Futebol Show's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Godfredo Cordarrel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th minute, Godfredo Cordarrel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Blumenauense FC played a much better game than Locomotiva Futebol Show and deserved their victory. The Locomotiva Futebol Show players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
