He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vulcanos reached it. 8 minutes into the game, Finus F.C.'s Samuel Cardozo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Petito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Israel Lages fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Brito having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Nilson Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Marinho in the 26th minute of the match. Samuel Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cristiano Petito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Enrique Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Brito. Finus F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Finus F.C.'s Ciro Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Finus F.C. from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Israel Lages during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vulcanos getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Israel Lages hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Finus F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Damião. 43 minutes into the match, Vulcanos's goal looked a bit too open when João de Andrade came free, but Cristiano Petito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Petito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Cardozo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Vulcanos's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Corrêa came free, but Cristiano Petito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mané Pimenta to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Vulcanos's Israel Lages sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ciro Brito came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Vulcanos's Válbson Meirelles. But to his dismay, Válbson Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ciro Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Lages, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. João de Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Cristiano Petito made a huge save. Ciro Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané Pimenta in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Lages in the 74th minute of play forced Finus F.C.'s goalkeeper Ciro Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Elias Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Petito was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jairo dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Mané Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, João de Andrade notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Vulcanos's Cristiano Petito. Cristiano Petito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Pimenta in the 87th minute of play forced Finus F.C.'s goalkeeper Ciro Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Finus F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vulcanos from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
