After a defensive mix-up in Parque Gramado FC's zone, Claudinei Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cearense came out of the goal and Claudinei Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jairo Azevedo during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Locomotiva Futebol Show was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Glauco Cabral struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Locomotiva Futebol Show's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franklin Pombal ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Dé da Fonseca managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 93rd minute of the match Remo Pena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doriva Vander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
