Basílio Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Mangueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jean Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Mangueira scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Luz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Mangueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramón Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th match minute, Os Assombrados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Gomes to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Itayopolis EC's goalkeeper Basílio Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Mangueira. When Os Assombrados's Claudinho Mangueira, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Os Assombrados. Hugo Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Luz having to make a save. Claudinho Mangueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Basílio Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
