Danilo de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Mangueira in the 34th minute of play forced SC Duque de Caxias's goalkeeper Danilo de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Mangueira took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo de Azevedo. Danilo de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Danilo de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Mangueira in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Claudinho Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Assombrados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinho Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Claudinho Mangueira made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Os Assombrados's Claudinho Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo de Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hugo Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Danilo de Azevedo made a huge save. In the 58th match minute, SC Duque de Caxias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiktor Petersson to maneuver through the defense. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Danilo de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Mangueira in the 76th minute. Jean Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Claudinho Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
