They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Pontes in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Emerson Braga notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Itayopolis EC's Basílio Luz. Basílio Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Paulo Linares's late challenge caught a Itayopolis EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The tension between the Almesca and the Itayopolis EC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
