A hard shot by Ramón Velasco from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Dênis Prestes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Acarahu EC from getting a goal against them. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Mangueira couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Claudinho Mangueira notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes. Dênis Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélio Damião was the one to do the kick off. Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Mangueira in the 54th minute of play. Dênis Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 60 minutes into the game, one of Acarahu EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Acarahu EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramón Velasco was slow to take the kick. During this time Os Assombrados's players had a chance to rest. After 67 minutes of play, Os Assombrados's Jean Gomes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dênis Prestes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Acarahu EC's zone, Claudinho Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Prestes came out of the goal and Claudinho Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jean Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Os Assombrados's protests and gave Jean Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Jean Gomes hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Jean Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Quirino hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Claudinho Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dênis Prestes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramón Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Dênis Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83 played minutes Os Assombrados got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Salles. Júlio Silveira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dida de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Júlio Silveira slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 84th minute. After having played for 88 minutes, Gilmar de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acarahu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Trevisan hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Claudinho Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jean Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Os Assombrados were the better team. Os Assombrados's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
