Celso Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Dênis Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Donato in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisinho de Castro in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dênis Prestes saved Acarahu EC from getting behind. When Ronaldinho Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itayopolis EC's protests and gave Ronaldinho Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Itayopolis EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Acarahu EC's Aloísio Quirino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Hélio Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Luz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélio Damião showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Aloísio Quirino hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Basílio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Hélio Damião came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Basílio Luz could save by the left post. Júlio Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aloísio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Luz having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itayopolis EC's goalkeeper Basílio Luz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hélio Damião made a kick off. The Acarahu EC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Acarahu EC's Hélio Damião looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcus Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Itayopolis EC booed when Acarahu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute Luisinho de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Aloísio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Luz having to interfere. Basílio Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Damião in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Acarahu EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
