In the 20th minute Romeu Gaúcho suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Fernão Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lona's protests and gave Fernão Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. Acarahu EC made a substitution. Edinho Ferraz replaced Romeu Gaúcho. Wanderson Arce came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dênis Prestes could save by the left post. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Hélio Damião sped through Lona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Rosa. In the 30thth minute of the game Filipe da Mata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Lona's Raimundo Matos got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute of the match, Filipe da Mata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dênis Prestes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Acarahu EC's Dênis Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe da Mata in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Hélio Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aloísio Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Wanderson Arce came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Lona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wanderson Arce couldn't finish the play. Dênis Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After some careless play in the Lona defense, Hélio Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Rosa. The Lona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Rosa should have stopped the shot. Nicolas Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélio Damião in the 72nd minute. After 76 played minutes Acarahu EC got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Trevisan. Aloísio Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Hélio Damião in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
