Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claudinho Mangueira kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Claudinho Mangueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Pirani. Galaticos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Mangueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Francisco Pirani made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Claudinho Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. Luís Paulo Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Os Assombrados's Dida de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Linares in the 24th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Os Assombrados's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Paulo Linares came free, but Dida de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Os Assombrados fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Os Assombrados's Claudinho Mangueira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luís Paulo Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dida de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Claudinho Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Os Assombrados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Mangueira couldn't finish the play. Jean Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Fernando Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Os Assombrados's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Santana came free, but Dida de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Galaticos were awarded a corner. Guga Almeida went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Galaticos's corner Guga Almeida fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dida de Amaral quite easily take care of the ball. Dida de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda Alcântara in the 56th minute of the match. Francisco Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinho Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. When Duda Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galaticos's protests and gave Duda Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 played minutes Galaticos got a freekick which was hit by Duda Alcântara. Carlos Fernando Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida de Amaral having to interfere. Os Assombrados's Dida de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Linares in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match Galaticos got a corner. Os Assombrados's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guga Almeida ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Guga Almeida got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dida de Amaral quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 81st minute, Jean Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dé Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Os Assombrados's zone, Mané Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dida de Amaral came out of the goal and Mané Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th match minute, Galaticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Linares to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Galaticos booed when Os Assombrados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinho Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jean Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Pirani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Luís Paulo Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Paulo Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Galaticos getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Luís Paulo Linares hit a great ball.
