Danilo Mandrak came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Duque de Caxias's Caetano Simões. But to his dismay, Caetano Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Prestes hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Maranhão 18 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Simões came free, but Danilo Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Hansson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Maranhão 18 FC's Natanael Cosme was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 12th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Natanael Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Danilo de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Wiktor Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 minutes, Róbson Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maranhão 18 FC and the SC Duque de Caxias players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Maranhão 18 FC got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Goiano. 28 minutes into the match, Wiktor Petersson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak. Danilo Mandrak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the game, Jonas Hansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Duque de Caxias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maranhão 18 FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Duque de Caxias's Jonas Hansson got a free kick in the 34th minute. Danilo Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Natanael Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Danilo Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Petersson in the 42nd minute of play. Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Petersson in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, SC Duque de Caxias's Caetano Simões made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Maranhão 18 FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Duque de Caxias were winning 1-4.

Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Maranhão 18 FC from getting a goal against them. In the 57thth minute of the game Natanael Cosme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Duque de Caxias's Danilo de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Maranhão 18 FC's Natanael Cosme in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Duque de Caxias's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Duque de Caxias's Marcelinho Costa got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Natanael Cosme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Danilo de Azevedo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Wiktor Petersson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Danilo Mandrak. The goal made the score 1-5. After 71st play minutes Natanael Cosme shot 2-5, a short shot which went by Danilo de Azevedo and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 74th minute, Wiktor Petersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Hansson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Maranhão 18 FC from getting a goal against them. Zé Prestes's late challenge caught a SC Duque de Caxias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Prestes helped the player get up and apologised. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Simões got free with Danilo Mandrak in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caetano Simões came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Danilo Mandrak could save by the left post. Maranhão 18 FC's Danilo Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Maranhão 18 FC from getting a goal against them. When Maranhão 18 FC's Natanael Cosme in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Duque de Caxias's goalie prevented a goal. After 96 played minutes SC Duque de Caxias got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Simões. SC Duque de Caxias's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
