Mirity EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney de Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Rodriguinho de Salles hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Mirity EC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Pirmin came free, but Fabinho Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mirity EC's zone, Sidney de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho Veloso came out of the goal and Sidney de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the game, Victor Chaves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirity EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Athletico Paranaense the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Mirity EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Chaves to maneuver through the defense. When Antônio Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mirity EC's protests and gave Antônio Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Athletico Paranaense booed when Mirity EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Mirity EC's Danilo Saraiva got a free kick in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tarcisio Brodel in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Seme saved Club Athletico Paranaense from getting behind. After 57 minutes, Rodriguinho de Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mirity EC and the Club Athletico Paranaense players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Mirity EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho de Salles to maneuver through the defense. If Maximo Pirmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
