After 13 played minutes Nelas Futebol e Sexo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Queirós. Tiaguinho Dias scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manfredo Ceresso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Coqueiros FC's Carlos Rossi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manfredo Ceresso. That made the score 2-1 after 18 minutes of play. 28 minutes into the game, Jacinto Mineiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manfredo Ceresso. Jacinto Mineiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. If Jânio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelas Futebol e Sexo's Manfredo Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Rossi in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Claudinei Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nelas Futebol e Sexo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Tales Lopes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

In the 57th minute, Jacinto Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfredo Ceresso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Jânio Furtado's late challenge caught a Nelas Futebol e Sexo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jânio Furtado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coqueiros FC's Jânio Furtado got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes, Tales Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nelas Futebol e Sexo and the Coqueiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Nelas Futebol e Sexo's zone, Tiaguinho Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfredo Ceresso came out of the goal and Tiaguinho Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manfredo Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Dias in the 95th minute of the match. Fábio Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Arkadiy Trofimov made a huge save. Nelas Futebol e Sexo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
