Tarcisio Brodel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Samuel do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tales Alvarenga hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Salgado in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabinho Veloso saved Mirity EC from getting behind. The supporters of Nelas Futebol e Sexo booed when Mirity EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Claudinei Queirós in the 20th minute of play was well struck, but Fabinho Veloso made a really good save at the right post. After some careless play in the Nelas Futebol e Sexo defense, Tarcisio Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manfredo Ceresso. The Nelas Futebol e Sexo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manfredo Ceresso should have stopped the shot. When Tarcisio Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Mirity EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcisio Brodel couldn't finish the play. Fábio Salgado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Fabinho Veloso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fabinho Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mirity EC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rodriguinho de Salles hit a great ball. Fabinho Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelas Futebol e Sexo's Luiz Fábio da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Samuel do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Samuel do Nascimento fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manfredo Ceresso, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Tarcisio Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirity EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarcisio Brodel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Ceresso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tarcisio Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Manfredo Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samuel do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nelas Futebol e Sexo! Victor Chaves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manfredo Ceresso came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Chaves slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mirity EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
