After 11 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Mandrak. Quiroga F.C.'s Felippe Vianna got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Durvalino Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Simões in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Durvalino Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Metegelo de Piracicaba FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Wilian Costa hit a great ball. The supporters of Metegelo de Piracicaba FC booed when Quiroga F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Durvalino Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quiroga F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Durvalino Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cláudio Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durvalino Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. Cláudio Vides didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durvalino Simões went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durvalino Simões in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Vides saved Metegelo de Piracicaba FC from getting behind. Durvalino Simões scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66thth minute of the game Durvalino Simões who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's Cláudio Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durvalino Simões in the 69th minute of play. In the 76th minute Durvalino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quiroga F.C.'s Mané Bittencourt got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durvalino Simões's late challenge caught a Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Simões helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Quiroga F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durvalino Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Durvalino Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino Simões came free, but Cláudio Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Quiroga F.C. were the better team. Quiroga F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
