Erik Pitta scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kauã Rezende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raphael Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Erik Pitta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kauã Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 39 minutes into the match, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goalkeeper Claudinho Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nico Campidelis. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Pitta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pedrão de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Erik Pitta sped through Malu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kauã Rezende. 61 minutes into the game, Enrique Secco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GRASSHOPPERS F.C the free kick. Enrique Secco kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Malu got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Oliveira. 75 minutes into the match, GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Secco came free, but Claudinho Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Oliveira hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Claudinho Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Campidelis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. A collision led to GRASSHOPPERS F.C getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Erik Pitta hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Malu's goalkeeper Kauã Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erik Pitta. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GRASSHOPPERS F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
