The crowd rose to their feet as GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Erik Pitta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdemar Lima. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. Pedrão de Sena hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Quiroga F.C. getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Durvalino Simões hit a great ball. If Pedrão Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quiroga F.C.'s Valdemar Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Quiroga F.C. from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Erik Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot.
