After a defensive mix-up in Promissao SC's zone, Elias Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Costa came out of the goal and Elias Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Piraputanga's Luiz Fábio Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Novaes in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of Promissao SC booed when Piraputanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Gerson Tande got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Válter Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrique Costa having to make a save. Henrique Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Lucas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Guilherme Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Zonta made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Luís Guilherme Félix sent off a good shot on target. Glauco Novaes struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Promissao SC. Promissao SC's Luís Guilherme Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Promissao SC's Luís Guilherme Félix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 46 minutes, Gerson Tande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Promissao SC and the Piraputanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerson Tande hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Elias Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glauco Novaes to strike the kick off in the second half. Válter Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elias Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Henrique Costa made a huge save. In the 59th match minute, Promissao SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Costa stood somewhat misplaced when Elias Lucas came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 78 minute. Promissao SC's Glauco Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Promissao SC's Henrique Costa got control of the ball when Elias Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Válter Nóbrega struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Henrique Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piraputanga. Elias Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Costa having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Promissao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Nóbrega came free, but Henrique Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Henrique Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piraputanga. Piraputanga's Elias Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Promissao SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
