Zahariz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lokomotiv Fc the free kick. A collision led to Zahariz FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Leopoldo Gerber hit a great ball. Leopoldo Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Reis having to interfere. Rui Liberato was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Denílson Bittencourt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Denílson Bittencourt really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A collision led to Lokomotiv Fc getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Luís Fernando Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Denílson Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Liberato was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lokomotiv Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anísio Sena was slow to take the kick. During this time Zahariz FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Zahariz FC's Anísio Sena to fire away a dangerous shot which Walmir Reis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Leopoldo Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walmir Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luizão de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Dantas during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 28 played minutes Lokomotiv Fc got a freekick which was hit by Vitinho Dantas. Walmir Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anísio Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmir Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Gerber in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Gerber in the 37th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Fc's goalkeeper Walmir Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Denílson Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotiv Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denílson Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anísio Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Gerber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Rui Liberato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denílson Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A collision led to Zahariz FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Frederico Penha hit a great ball. Walmir Reis was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Anísio Sena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anísio Sena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 66th minute, Leopoldo Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Walmir Reis. Lokomotiv Fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Rui Liberato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Barral in the 70th minute of play. Lokomotiv Fc's Walmir Reis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Fc from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Lokomotiv Fc's Walmir Reis got control of the ball when Leopoldo Gerber tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lokomotiv Fc's Walmir Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão de Mendonça in the 84th minute of play. Luizão de Mendonça scored 2-4 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmir Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Leopoldo Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmir Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Anísio Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zahariz FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
