After a defensive mix-up in Quiroga F.C.'s zone, Frederico Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar Lima came out of the goal and Frederico Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goalkeeper Valdemar Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anísio Sena. When Bernardo Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quiroga F.C.'s protests and gave Bernardo Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Zahariz FC booed when Quiroga F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anísio Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Quiroga F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Lima should have stopped the shot. In the 87th match minute, Zahariz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Guimarães hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Zahariz FC had won after a very even match.
