Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Piraputanga's Elias Lucas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedrão de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fábio Zonta having to interfere. Pedrão Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luiz Fábio Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Pitta took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fábio Zonta. Luiz Fábio Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Piraputanga's attentive Emerson Maciel managed to snatch the ball when Elder Andrade made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. Válter Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Claudinho Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Alexandre Donatello in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by GRASSHOPPERS F.C's Isaltino Furlan. Claudinho Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Lucas in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Válter Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Elias Lucas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piraputanga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Piraputanga's Luiz Fábio Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Piraputanga from getting a goal against them. Claudinho Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Lucas in the 39th minute of the match. Piraputanga's Elias Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Luiz Fábio Zonta made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Pitta to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes GRASSHOPPERS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Erik Pitta. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind GRASSHOPPERS F.C's goalkeeper Claudinho Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alan Tande kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Elias Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Castro having to interfere. The supporters of GRASSHOPPERS F.C booed when Piraputanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute of the game Alexandre Donatello made a throw-in which Duarte Leal played forward. GRASSHOPPERS F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Elias Lucas scored to the left of an out of position Claudinho Castro, making the score, 1-2. 84 minutes into the match, Elias Lucas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinho Castro, 1-3. Piraputanga's Luiz Fábio Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Pitta in the 88th minute of play. Claudinho Castro made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Elias Lucas sent off a good shot on target. Erik Pitta took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fábio Zonta. Luiz Fábio Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Piraputanga eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
