No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glauco Novaes made a kick off. Luís Guilherme Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vides having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Telmo Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Glauco Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Promissao SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Novaes couldn't finish the play. Henrique Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Costa in the 58th minute of the match. Glauco Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilmar Moura's late challenge caught a Metegelo de Piracicaba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilmar Moura helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Promissao SC's Nilmar Moura got a free kick in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Guilherme Félix got free with Cláudio Vides in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Nilmar Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Costa having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilian Costa in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Costa saved Promissao SC from getting behind. Cláudio Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Novaes in the 86th minute of the match. Gildo Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Promissao SC's Juarês Teixeira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Metegelo de Piracicaba FC. Cláudio Vides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Guilherme Félix in the 90th minute. After 96 played minutes Promissao SC got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Pitta. In the 97th minute of the match Telmo Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrique Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Metegelo de Piracicaba FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
