The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Osvaldo Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Donato having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidnei Donato. Hanx's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Osvaldo Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Sidnei Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laions FC. In the 19th match minute, Hanx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Rossi to maneuver through the defense. Remo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Laions FC booed when Hanx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Remo Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidnei Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hanx's zone, Osvaldo Bittencourt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei Donato came out of the goal and Osvaldo Bittencourt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hortêncio Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Reis in the 44th minute of the match. Arthur Branco tried in the game's 48th match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Hortêncio Alcântara. An annoying self made goal, 1-2. After the first half Laions FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Reis was the one to do the kick off. Duarte Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Laions FC's Duarte Braga got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sidnei Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Bittencourt in the 58th minute of play. When Tiago Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hanx's protests and gave Tiago Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hanx's Tiago Aparecido got a free kick in the 60th minute. Osvaldo Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidnei Donato was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Hanx's Ian Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4. Remo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sidnei Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Laions FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
