Laions FC's Remo Freire got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Falcão Meireles made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Remo Freire sent off a good shot on target. Laions FC's Hortêncio Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Garcia in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of SportClub Laranja Mecanic booed when Laions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, SportClub Laranja Mecanic's José Maria Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hortêncio Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gilmar Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Laions FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Paraibano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilmar Paraibano during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Laions FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gilmar Paraibano hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Laions FC's zone, Tiago Gabriel Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Alcântara came out of the goal and Tiago Gabriel Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Joaquim Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SportClub Laranja Mecanic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes in the game, Osvaldo Bittencourt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Falcão Meireles having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, SportClub Laranja Mecanic's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Bittencourt came free, but Falcão Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Arthur Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Joaquim Dracena made the kick off in the second half. Falcão Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enio Luz in the 52nd minute of play. Gilmar Paraibano took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Meireles. Falcão Meireles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 56 minutes into the game, Enio Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SportClub Laranja Mecanic the free kick. The supporters of SportClub Laranja Mecanic booed when Laions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Hortêncio Alcântara managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when SportClub Laranja Mecanic's Joaquim Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Remo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Falcão Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remo Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute, Osvaldo Bittencourt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Osvaldo Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Falcão Meireles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes of play, Laions FC's Enio Luz made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falcão Meireles was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Laions FC's zone, José Maria Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laions FC were victorious despite being under pressure from SportClub Laranja Mecanic for much of the match.
