If Lauro Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FIEL TUPÃ's Quico Sánchez got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Reis in the 19th minute of play forced FIEL TUPÃ's goalkeeper Geovanni Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lauro Cearense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geovanni Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Hanx booed when FIEL TUPÃ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quico Sánchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Göran Ekberg got free with Sidnei Donato in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sidnei Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Ekberg in the 30th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Hanx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Cearense to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Pedro Luiz Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 played minutes, Hanx's Agnaldo Guedes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geovanni Arruda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hanx reached it. Geovanni Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ian Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Arruda was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Hanx's Ian Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Reis was the one to do the kick off. Ian Reis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovanni Arruda came out and tried to block the shot, but Ian Reis slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. Lauro Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Arruda having to interfere. Inácio Cabral hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Geovanni Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Reis in the 62nd minute of play. Filipe Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lauro Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Geovanni Arruda made a huge save. Geovanni Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Cearense in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, FIEL TUPÃ's goalkeeper Geovanni Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lauro Cearense. 67 minutes into the match, Lauro Cearense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geovanni Arruda, 0-3. The Hanx supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hanx would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
