Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafim Mota in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafinha Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rafinha Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 45th minute, Agostinho Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olavo Prata made a kick off. Agostinho Soares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Rafinha Figueiredo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rafinha Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sants's Agostinho Soares. But to his dismay, Agostinho Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sants's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 minutes of play, Sants's Doni Brito made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafinha Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Serafim Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafinha Figueiredo was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Doni Brito hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 96 minutes in the game, Serafim Mota fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rafinha Figueiredo having to interfere. Agostinho Soares might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafinha Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agostinho Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. If Serafim Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Sants left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Umorama FC.
