After 34 minutes, Dadá Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miranga EC and the Umorama FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Dadá Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Miranga EC's Alfredinho Ribeiro got control of the ball when Olavo Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cléberson Toscano succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 41st playminute. The supporters of Umorama FC booed when Miranga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luiz Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Cléberson Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 70 minutes of play, Umorama FC's Olavo Prata made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredinho Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rafinha Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Cristian Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Miranga EC and the Umorama FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Umorama FC booed when Miranga EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dadá Dantas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Rafinha Figueiredo made a huge save.
