When Téo Neves came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pelado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Téo Neves couldn't finish the play. If Téo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedrinho Capixaba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Horácio Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agostinho Soares in the 20th minute. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Sants's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Neves came free, but Pedrinho Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dé Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedrinho Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrinho Capixaba came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Pelado's Téo Neves. But to his dismay, Téo Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Téo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Sants's Horácio Barreto threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafim Mota, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 42 minutes into the match, Serafim Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Barreto. Pelado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafim Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Pedrinho Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Neves in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Téo Neves made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Giovani Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Alfredinho de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelado's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredinho de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Téo Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedrinho Capixaba came out and tried to block the shot, but Téo Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 72nd minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Serafim Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doni Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doni Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Doni Brito hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Téo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Pelado booed when Sants was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Neves in the 86th minute of play forced Sants's goalkeeper Pedrinho Capixaba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio de Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Pelado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute of the match Cleiton Correia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horácio Barreto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
