The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisito Oton during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Hero Saints Fc defense, Manuel de Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Secco. The Hero Saints Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Secco should have stopped the shot. In the 19th minute Charles Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enéas Furtado in the 28th minute of play forced Matas FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Enéas Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hero Saints Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enéas Furtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Manuel de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Válter Secco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Charles Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Hero Saints Fc's goalkeeper Válter Secco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Hermes. The wind increased when Manuel de Castro made the kick off in the second half. Matas FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
