Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel de Castro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dênis de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Hermes in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Videira AD's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel de Castro came free, but Dênis de Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Matas FC's Charles Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dênis de Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Manuel de Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th minute Charles Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Videira AD defense, Charles Hermes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dênis de Souza. The Videira AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dênis de Souza should have stopped the shot. Videira AD's Maurinho Carneiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Álvaro Nascimento, made in the 24th minute of the game. Charles Hermes scored 0-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dênis de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 played minutes Videira AD got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Bastos. Matas FC's Charles Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Videira AD's zone, Manuel de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis de Souza came out of the goal and Manuel de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Manuel de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Videira AD's Dênis de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Hermes in the 51st minute of play. When Manuel de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Matas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel de Castro couldn't finish the play. Charles Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dênis de Souza having to interfere. Manuel de Castro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dênis de Souza having to make a save. When Videira AD's Nico Rossi in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matas FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 61 played minutes Matas FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Ferreira. Manuel de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dênis de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Charles Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel de Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Dênis de Souza made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Videira AD's goalkeeper Dênis de Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel de Castro. Marquinhos Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matas FC made a substitution. Bruninho Falcão replaced Jonathan Cuenca. In the 78th minute, Videira AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manuel de Castro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Charles Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dênis de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nico Rossi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagoberto Marinho was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Maurinho Carneiro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Matas FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Videira AD.
