But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cauan Leal couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Societá Sportiva Lazio's zone, Téo França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Coutinho came out of the goal and Téo França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorginho Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan Leal in the 19th minute of the match. Cauan Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jorginho Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When David de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Capitão Poço F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Cauan Leal scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Coutinho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th minute, David de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capitão Poço F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The supporters of Capitão Poço F.C booed when Societá Sportiva Lazio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Siqueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-3 became the score in the 34th minute when Cauan Leal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Societá Sportiva Lazio's Jorginho Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David de Queiroz in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Téo França had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorginho Coutinho. Societá Sportiva Lazio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Téo França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Téo França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belmiro Prestes hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cauan Leal was the one to do the kick off. If Cauan Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 57 minutes, David de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capitão Poço F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but David de Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cauan Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Coutinho having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Téo França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 played minutes Societá Sportiva Lazio got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Prestes. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Societá Sportiva Lazio's goalkeeper Jorginho Coutinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cauan Leal took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorginho Coutinho. Jorginho Coutinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Jorginho Coutinho made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cauan Leal sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cauan Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capitão Poço F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Cauan Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Coutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute, Belmiro Prestes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Souto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5.
