In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Societá Sportiva Lazio. Emerson Ceresso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armando Pinheiro. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilton Lima during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th minute, Nilton Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gino Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jorginho Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Donato hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Armando Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Olavo Botelho hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Armando Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Societá Sportiva Lazio's Sílvio Siqueira. But to his dismay, Sílvio Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Armando Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Siqueira in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Monobloco FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Jacinto came free, but Armando Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Siqueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Gino Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Gino Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorginho Coutinho. Societá Sportiva Lazio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gino Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Marcos Cerezo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Jorginho Coutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monobloco FC. Armando Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Societá Sportiva Lazio booed when Monobloco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 89 played minutes Societá Sportiva Lazio got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Secco. 94 minutes into the match, Societá Sportiva Lazio's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Pires came free, but Jorginho Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Monobloco FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Societá Sportiva Lazio were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
