In the 16th minute, one of JJTrips FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for JJTrips FC. The referee gave Grêmio Reitoria F.C a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Augustyniak, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of JJTrips FC's Oséias Bezerra. 0-1. After having played for 22 minutes, Kauã Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grêmio Reitoria F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kauã Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The JJTrips FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oséias Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Kauã Cruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oséias Bezerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kauã Cruz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39thth minute of the game Kauã Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JJTrips FC's Oséias Bezerra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauã Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oséias Bezerra having to interfere. The supporters of JJTrips FC booed when Grêmio Reitoria F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Evani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Grêmio Reitoria F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JJTrips FC the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in JJTrips FC's zone, Kauã Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias Bezerra came out of the goal and Kauã Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes JJTrips FC got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Nóbrega. Grêmio Reitoria F.C's Oséias Pinheiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Christiano Nóbrega in the 96 minute of the game. Kauã Cruz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 98th playminute. When the match was over Grêmio Reitoria F.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than JJTrips FC throughout the match.
