Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MaconhaFC's zone, Nico Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dário Palmeira came out of the goal and Nico Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Rossi in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Palmeira saved MaconhaFC from getting behind. 16 minutes into the game, José Vítor Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MaconhaFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Videira AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, MaconhaFC's Guto Gomes got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Rossi in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Palmeira saved MaconhaFC from getting behind. Manfredo Nóbrega came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dênis de Souza could save by the left post. In the 27th minute, Wellington Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dênis de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfredo Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Videira AD's Dênis de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Galvão in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Nico Rossi put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dário Palmeira. When José Vítor Senna came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the MaconhaFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Senna couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Nico Rossi sped through MaconhaFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dário Palmeira. 40 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Galvão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Dênis de Souza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manfredo Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nico Rossi to strike the kick off in the second half. Nico Rossi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Dário Palmeira 58 minutes into the match. Betinho Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Videira AD's Dênis de Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Nóbrega in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Senna in the 65th minute of play forced Videira AD's goalkeeper Dênis de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dênis de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manfredo Nóbrega in the 67th minute of play. Dênis de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When MaconhaFC's José Vítor Senna in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With his leg Dário Palmeira managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Videira AD's Nico Rossi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 91 minutes Videira AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guto Gomes who took care of the corner kick. Rodolfo de Moraes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
