Vágner Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Herruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. But to his dismay, Christian Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Manhumirim's Vágner Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Donatello in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Herruz in the 13th minute of play forced Manhumirim's goalkeeper Vágner Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, one of Manhumirim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Manhumirim. 22 minutes into the match, Manhumirim's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Custódio came free, but Vágner Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, one of Manhumirim:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manhumirim:s Vágner Tróia showed great skill when he stopped Duarte Seco:s penalty. Manhumirim's Vágner Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Herruz in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Talib Al Ajmi made a precise shot to the right of Vágner Tróia. Manhumirim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Vágner Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Herruz in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vágner Tróia saved Manhumirim from getting behind. In the 46th match minute, Manhumirim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Vágner Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Herruz in the 49th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Palmeira was the one to do the kick off. Vágner Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Florin in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute Flinston FC - DMZ were awarded a corner. Duarte Seco went to the cornerflag to take it. Vágner Tróia was a little too slow when Albertinho da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-5. Bruno Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rogerio Fontarigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertinho da Silveira got free with Vágner Tróia in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 74 minutes, Carlinhos Palmeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manhumirim and the Flinston FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Carlinhos Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flinston FC - DMZ's Reginaldo Veiga was substituted for Bengt-Åke Bergqvist. Vágner Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Herruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertinho da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Tróia having to interfere. With a little luck, Manhumirim's Vágner Tróia got control of the ball when Albertinho da Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Flinston FC - DMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Manhumirim throughout the match.
