The supporters of Santo André FC booed when Soterópolis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Soterópolis FC's Ramón Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clóvis Talló showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Tomás Xavier in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Clóvis Talló, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ramón Dracena was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Clóvis Talló was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dário Bueno made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Soterópolis FC's Tomás Xavier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
