In the 42nd minute, Alieninjas's Dadá Neves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dadá Neves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alieninjas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dadá Neves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alieninjas! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléber Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alieninjas's Rodolfo Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Mumbach in the 53rd minute of play. Carlos Augusto Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match.
