If Cléber Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Patrick Leme fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soterópolis FC's protests and gave Patrick Leme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Patrick Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ESSE TIME TÁ SEM JOGADOR's Augusto Ramos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, ESSE TIME TÁ SEM JOGADOR's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Xavier came free, but Augusto Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soterópolis FC's Tomás Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Dorian Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Doni Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Soterópolis FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doni Ortiz couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Doni Ortiz got free with Augusto Ramos in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Xavier's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Betinho Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Soterópolis FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Despite this Betinho Fonseca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Soterópolis FC booed when ESSE TIME TÁ SEM JOGADOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Doni Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augusto Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 92 minutes of play, Soterópolis FC's Doni Ortiz made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Xavier in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Ramos saved ESSE TIME TÁ SEM JOGADOR from getting behind. When the match was over Soterópolis FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ESSE TIME TÁ SEM JOGADOR throughout the match.
