Patrick Leme hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Soterópolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Madureira came free, but Betinho Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Real Madrid were awarded a corner. João Adolfo Matos went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Real Madrid's corner João Adolfo Matos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Betinho Fonseca quite easily take care of the ball. After 16 played minutes Soterópolis FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Cunha. Real Madrid's Tomás Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Ortiz in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Real Madrid booed when Soterópolis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes, João Adolfo Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Madrid and the Soterópolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Patrick Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Basílio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Tomás Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Tomás Xavier made the kick off in the second half. Soterópolis FC's Vinícius Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celsinho Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Betinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Galvão in the 56th minute of play forced Soterópolis FC's goalkeeper Betinho Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Xavier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Tomás Matos made a huge save. Tomás Matos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Doni Ortiz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play.
