Spectators: 7266 (Terracing: 5641, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Soterópolis FC's Tomás Xavier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Betinho Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Cosme in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Ramón Dracena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Artur Rezende was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 7 minutes into the match, Betão da Silva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Soterópolis FC's Betinho Fonseca. Betinho Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Tomás Xavier was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. Soterópolis FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 21st minute, Ramón Dracena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Artur Rezende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ramón Dracena took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Rezende. Artur Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Artur Rezende was a little too slow when Cléber Varela got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 3-1. Roberto Barros's late challenge caught a Soterópolis FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Barros helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as Soterópolis FC's Tomás Xavier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artur Rezende. That made the score 4-1 after 46 minutes of play.

The wind increased when Betão da Silva made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Itabuna FC.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Dracena came free, but Artur Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramón Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Artur Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Xavier in the 62nd minute of play. Soterópolis FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomás Xavier in the 63rd minute. Tomás Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Cássio Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After a rather tough play, Itabuna FC.'s Roberto Barros got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the game, Soterópolis FC's Ramón Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Rezende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. 82 minutes into the game, Cássio Félix cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Artur Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Soterópolis FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Vinícius Cunha hit a great ball. Betão da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Soterópolis FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
