Lúcio Vides started the match with the kick off. Clóvis Talló made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Gaspar in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Vides in the 5th minute of play forced Santo André FC's goalkeeper Clóvis Talló to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Santo André FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Vides came free, but Clóvis Talló reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clóvis Talló showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos de Lima in the 9th minute of the match. Clóvis Talló took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos de Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes, Ronaldo Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santo André FC and the Inhauma FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute Lúcio Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Talló saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Inhauma FC booed when Santo André FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Zé Carlos de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santo André FC's Clóvis Talló was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clóvis Talló showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílton Gaspar in the 18th minute of the match. Zé Carlos de Lima struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Clóvis Talló didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inhauma FC. Clóvis Talló showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bruninho Pimenta's late challenge caught a Inhauma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruninho Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Bruninho Pimenta took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for José Paulo Gerber to make any attempt to save it. Clóvis Talló showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 40 minutes into the match, Santo André FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos de Lima came free, but Clóvis Talló reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo André FC's Clóvis Talló played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Vides in the 41st minute of play. Clóvis Talló stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lúcio Vides's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Lúcio Vides got free with Clóvis Talló in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lúcio Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Clóvis Talló tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidnei Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Bueno in the 75th minute of play forced Inhauma FC's goalkeeper José Paulo Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Alves lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santo André FC! After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Patrick Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santo André FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ciro de Azevedo's late challenge caught a Santo André FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciro de Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Amílton Gaspars short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Clóvis Talló to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Clóvis Talló was a little too slow when Lúcio Vides got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-2. The Inhauma FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Inhauma FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
