Wanderson Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osmar Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão de Senna in the 5th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amauri Couto during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 15 minutes into the game, Maicon Nóbrega threw the ball into play from the sideline. Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's Sebastião Tepedino quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Nunes in the 16th minute of play forced Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's goalkeeper Julio César to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Varjoia SC defense, Wanderson Rossi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osmar Martins. The Varjoia SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osmar Martins should have stopped the shot. The tension between the Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES and the Varjoia SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Varjoia SC made a substitution. Emerson de Sousa replaced Antônio do Vale. In the 31st minute of the match, Emerson de Sousa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio César was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 68 minutes of play, Varjoia SC's Emerson de Sousa made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio César was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute, Emerson de Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Julio César. Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. If Luizão Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio César showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Nunes in the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Emerson de Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio César. Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emerson de Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Julio César showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauã Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute, Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's Wanderson Rossi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osmar Martins. Osmar Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-2. Julio César made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Nunes in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Ramalho in the 96th minute of play forced Desportiva Ferroviaria-ES's goalkeeper Julio César to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
