The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Prudencio Txomin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dudu Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Prudencio Txomin scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Ganja FC booed when EAGLES F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antônio Carlos Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Décio Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guga Ortiz. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. The supporters of EAGLES F. C. booed when Ganja FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiko da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Rossi in the 31st minute of play forced EAGLES F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lobo Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. With a little luck, EAGLES F. C.'s Guga Ortiz got control of the ball when Prudencio Txomin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prudencio Txomin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Ganja FC's Prudencio Txomin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kiko da Mata struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Guga Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ganja FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If 冯雄 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Vidal scored 3-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guga Ortiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 冯雄 during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that 冯雄's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guga Ortiz was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Guga Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Txomin in the 68th minute of play. Donato Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Domingues in the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Dudu Hoffmann suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. When Prudencio Txomin fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ganja FC's protests and gave Prudencio Txomin a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Ganja FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Txomin. In the 76th minute, Prudencio Txomin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ganja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Guga Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Txomin in the 82nd minute of the match. EAGLES F. C.'s Pedro Augusto Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 played minutes EAGLES F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Matos. EAGLES F. C.'s Guga Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson de Godoi in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, EAGLES F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lobo Murillo came free, but Guga Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ganja FC booed when EAGLES F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 冯雄 in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ganja FC fully deserved thier win.
