Porto Seguro F.C's Rodrigo Corrêa got his second yellow card of the match in the 11th minute. The referee ordered Rodrigo Corrêa off the ground. In the 12th match minute, Porto Seguro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. Dedé Cavalcante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Augusto Leão in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Jairo Zonta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porto Seguro F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EAGLES F. C. the free kick. Jairo Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. The referee gave Porto Seguro F.C a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Carlos Mesquita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of EAGLES F. C.'s Guga Ortiz. 0-1. Dedé Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Antônio Carlos Salgado sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Porto Seguro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Matos came free, but Dedé Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.'s Noel Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedé Cavalcante made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 78 minutes of play EAGLES F. C.'s Sebastião Vargas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Salgado in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dedé Cavalcante saved Porto Seguro F.C from getting behind. Dedé Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Salgado in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Thiago Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EAGLES F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Thiago Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guga Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Eduardo Machado in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Antônio Carlos Salgado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dedé Cavalcante was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Guga Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Eduardo Machado went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 98th minute of the match Dudu Hoffmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dedé Cavalcante skillfully saved the ball. Porto Seguro F.C succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though EAGLES F. C. had controlled the match.
