Gernando Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After recieving a nice pass, Fedegoso FC's Paulo Maia tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dé Tavares hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 15th minute by Gernando Moura got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fedegoso FC's goalkeeper Antônio Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Serafina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Luiz Fabiano Luz, was totally fooled by Fedegoso FC's Paulo Maia, who 25 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cacá Siqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Giuseppe Moreira struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Antônio Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serafina. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fedegoso FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Serafina a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by João Francisco Valadares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fedegoso FC's Antônio Tepedino. 1-1. When Serafina's Giuseppe Moreira in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fedegoso FC's goalie prevented a goal.

The wind increased when Gernando Moura made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Serafina defense, Sérgio Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Luz. The Serafina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano Luz should have stopped the shot. After 62 played minutes Fedegoso FC got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Siqueira. Giuseppe Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antônio Tepedino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Giuseppe Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Antônio Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antônio Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wellington Britto in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Serafina got a freekick which was hit by Dé Tavares. If Gernando Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giuseppe Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Tepedino having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Sérgio Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fedegoso FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
