C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serafina the free kick. After a rather tough play, EAGLES F. C.'s Pedro Augusto Leão got a free kick in the 10th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Serafina's Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guga Ortiz. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. Giuseppe Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Ortiz having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giuseppe Moreira got free with Guga Ortiz in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Fabiano Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Pereira in the 22nd minute of play. 27 minutes into the game, Raúl Matos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luiz Fabiano Luz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dudu Hoffmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luiz Fabiano Luz. Serafina's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Antônio Carlos Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the EAGLES F. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, one of Serafina:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Serafina. The goalkeeper, Luiz Fabiano Luz, was totally fooled by EAGLES F. C.'s Dudu Hoffmann, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Antônio Carlos Salgado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Fabiano Luz came out and tried to block the shot, but Antônio Carlos Salgado slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 63rd minute. Raúl Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Luiz Fabiano Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fabiano Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sebastião Vargas in the 68th minute. Thiago Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
